Rodeo time again in Houston, TX! Here we are driving our pony team pulling our carriage in the VLTRA trail ride (Valley Lodge Trail Ride Association), where we drove our ponies about 50 miles over 3 days this year to kick-off the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. This year we decided to try using our pony, Ranger, driving as a team with his mother, Channie. This was Ranger's 1st time to drive on the trail ride and he did terrific!

As you can see by how we're dressed in the pictures, it was very cold during most of the trail ride. But we loved just being together as a family and with the ponies And horses! Our kids and grandkids rotated riding in the carriage with us all through the trail, while my sister and her husband rode our 2 horses in front of us, and my brother and his family rode their horses in front of them. Although we built a lot more good memories and got lots of good family pictures, we only tried to post the pictures here with the ponies and horses.
