"Katy" is an absolutely beautiful mare due to the best of breeding, including her top producing Modern/Mod. Pleasure sire and Modern Pleasure/Classic maternal grandsire. Click on her pedigree above to see the names and pictures. And she has the size to make her a good mount that lasts young people for years. She is one of our grandchildrens' favorites.

 

Plus, "Katy" is such a delight and a personable character. She loves people and can open gates, so make sure they are closed with a latch that can't be picked! She loves to jump, and is a good jumper under saddle, as you can see in the many pictures of her above.

 

We showed her in Modern Pleasure Halter as a 2 year old and won all 5 of her Grand Champion Mare wins and 31 HOF points towards her Modern Halter Hall of Fame award, then switched over to training/showing in performance as a hunter/jumper under saddle at non-Shetland events (where there are more events).
